  MULTI

Removed old bond #1: Connery. Two beta pictures for each Bond in the ROM, one for the multi character select, and the other in the screen modifier (extracted here). As well as the extracted suit textures and face textures for each Bond!

Removed old bond #2: Dalton. The screen modifier for Dalton hasn't even removed his glass from the promotional picture of him. In fact all of the pictures here are taken directly from promotional shots of the Bonds (couldn't get them into studio after all).

It's likely they would have cropped out the glass for a gun eventually.

Removed old bond #3: Moore.

The question is, what are these screen modifiers doing here? It's been suggested that if the old bonds had single player purposes, then as Bond flickers on the screen in aztec, maybe the old bonds would flicker in their respective levels.

In any case, because Rare did not want to pay licensing fees or something along those lines, they were removed after supposedly a long battle with all 3 of the old bonds to 100.

Unused beta faces in the Goldeneye ROM! Unknown as to why they were removed. Four were completed, and the first face belongs to Chris Stamper. The second face is unknown. The third face appears to be Grant Kirkhope, the musician, with black hair. The fourth face is unknown. The bottom is Ken Lobb, very similar to the real Ken Lobb image, but an extra front strangely enough.

Their models have been removed, at least we believe they have.
Faithful recreations of the old Bonds. At the top there's Dalton, and at the bottom Connery is in his full glory.

The suits have actually been lifted directly from Perfect Dark, in which they exactly used the same textures.

The faces are of course new, since the old beta ones do not exist well enough, but this is approximately how they were.
Here's Moore. Lazenby was not going to be included. They sure were great Bonds, and the team did not want to get rid of 'em.
The actual textures used on the Old Bonds faces were left in the ROM on Bond models!
While they may not fit perfectly to these test faces, you can clearly see Rare's faces in their glory. Amazing they still left them in!

While we saw the Connery face in the one beta video, both Dalton and Moore's face textures by Rare were unseen until this reveal!
Rare said they tested all of the levels in multiplayer before choosing, and they were right. In fact both Cradle and Statue were fully completed with ammo and weapon placements, and must have been removed at the last moment possible.

Cradle was a fun level, but not perfected, as visualizations screw up near the edges of Cradle. Overall, it's fun, and great for sniping.
Statue has ammo and guns, but still parts of the level have blackness and are not fully perfected.

Statue happens to actually not be a very fun level, and was not a bad cut.

Although I always thought you just don't have to play it, but why remove it? Luckily, it's accessible via gameshark.

None of the other levels work ordinarily, these were the only two like it.

The old bond suits and faces can be put into Goldeneye using the Face Mapping Program created by Ice Mario and myself at The Rare Witch Project. The non-Rareware created old Bond faces were made by Rune, so thank him for that.
